About

After 13 jobs in 13 years, I finally took to a life in crime.

It was in 1994, after one last, miserable job, that I decided he really didn’t want to work for other people – especially not in the computer industry.

Instead, since I always have enjoyed reading, I wondered whether maybe it was time to try to write my own novel. In January of that year, I sat down and gave myself six months to complete a book. The result was THE LAST TEMPLAR, first in the series about Sir Baldwin de Furnshill and Bailiff Simon Puttock. The series combined my fascination with history and the demise of Knights Templar, as well as crime novels.

Over the years I have created a range of characters, from pilgrims during the first crusade, to spies, to a vintaine of archers, to Shanghai policemen and even a Tudor-age assassin – although a reluctant one – enough to fill more than 50 novels and collections of short stories.
